Sanam Teri Kasam Gets a Second Chance, Becomes a Hit in Re-Release

Made on a Rs 25 Crore Budget, But Flopped Initially
When Sanam Teri Kasam was first released on February 5, 2016, it failed to perform well at the box office. Despite a budget of Rs 25 crore, the movie managed to earn only Rs 9.10 crore in India. Even with an additional Rs 2.81 crore from overseas markets, the worldwide total stood at just Rs 15.10 crore, making it a commercial failure.
Re-Release Brings Unexpected Success
Now, with its re-release on February 9, Sanam Teri Kasam is making waves at the box office. In just two days, the film has already collected Rs 9.50 crore in India, surpassing its original domestic lifetime earnings. With positive audience reactions, the movie is expected to earn even more in the coming days, likely turning profitable this time around.
Competing with New and Old Releases
Surprisingly, Sanam Teri Kasam is giving tough competition to newly released films like Badass Ravikumar (starring Himesh Reshammiya) and Loveyapa (featuring Junaid Khan and Khushi Kapoor). Even Christopher Nolan's Interstellar, which was re-released recently, has earned only Rs 5.65 crore in two days, trailing behind this Bollywood romance.
Viral Fan Reactions
Social media is buzzing with videos of packed cinema halls showing Sanam Teri Kasam. Fans are seen dancing, celebrating, and even getting emotional while watching the film on the big screen. The unexpected love for this re-release proves that sometimes movies get their true appreciation much later.
