Senior J&K Officer and 2 Civilians Killed in Rajouri After Heavy Shelling by Pakistan
A senior government officer, Raj Kumar Thapa, who was the Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) of Rajouri, lost his life when a Pakistani shell hit his house early Saturday morning. Two civilians also died in the same attack.

CM Omar Abdullah Expresses Grief
Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah expressed his sorrow on X (formerly Twitter). He said that just a day before the attack, Thapa was working with the Deputy CM and had joined an online meeting with the CM. He urged people to remain indoors and avoid spreading fake news.
Pakistan Launches More Drone and Missile Attacks
Pakistan launched drone attacks for the second night in a row, targeting military sites across India’s northern and western regions. Meanwhile, Pakistani Air Force fighters also launched missiles toward Srinagar. Indian forces have responded strongly, and reports suggest that the Pakistan Air Force has suffered losses.
India’s Response and Government Briefing
The Indian government is expected to provide a detailed briefing about the attack and the counter-measures taken by India. The briefing is scheduled for 10 AM.
