Skill India Centre to Open in Memory of Parkash Singh Badal

A new Skill India Centre will be set up in memory of former Punjab CM Parkash Singh Badal to train 2,000 youth in various sectors like healthcare, construction, and sports. The centre will promote job opportunities in India and abroad.

Tribute to Parkash Singh Badal: Skill Centre to Train 2,000 Youth

On the second death anniversary of former Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal, a Skill India Centre has been announced in his memory. The centre will come up at Mata Jaswant Kaur School in Badal village, Muktsar.

Punjab’s Skill Push Started Under Parkash Singh Badal 's Leadership

Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) president Sukhbir Singh Badal praised his late father’s visionary role in starting skill development initiatives in Punjab. He said Punjab was the first state in India to focus on youth skill training, and the central government later adopted this model nationwide.

Centre to Train 2,000 Youth in Multiple Trades

Sandeep Kaura, advisor to the National Skill Development Corporation, shared that the upcoming centre will train around 2,000 youth in trades like healthcare, agriculture, construction, and sports infrastructure. It will also help students find jobs abroad in high-demand sectors.

Tribute to a Mass Leader

Sukhbir Singh called Parkash Singh Badal a “true people’s leader” who worked for everyone without any bias. He urged SAD workers to follow his father’s ideals and prepare to win the 2027 assembly elections.

Remembering Parkash Singh Badal ’s Contributions

Akal Takht jathedar Giani Kuldeep Singh Gargaj recalled Parkash Singh Badal’s role in building important war memorials in Punjab. SGPC chief Harjinder Singh Dhami and BJP leader Manpreet Badal also paid their respects and encouraged leaders to focus on development and unity.
