Suriya's 'Kanguva' gets permission for Five Shows in Tamil Nadu
Suriya’s highly anticipated movie Kanguva, directed by Siva, is set to release on November 14. In a significant development, the Tamil Nadu government has given a green signal for special screenings, allowing the film to have five shows per day. This includes a 9 AM show and a late-night show that ends at 2 AM. The relaxation of rules is a much-needed boost for the makers, who can now maximize the film's reach on its opening day.
Early Morning Shows in Other States
While Tamil Nadu has limited the number of early shows in recent years, Kanguva is set to have screenings as early as 4 AM in neighbouring states such as Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, and Kerala. This trend of early morning screenings has become common in these regions for big Tamil releases, especially after Tamil Nadu restricted early shows following an accident during the 2023 Pongal releases.
Legal and Financial Issues Surrounding the Film
Despite the excitement surrounding the release, Kanguva is facing some legal hurdles, including financial challenges. The makers are reportedly dealing with financial debts, which have created concerns about a smooth release. Fans are hopeful that these issues will be resolved in time for the movie’s premiere.
Kanguva - A Big-Scale Film with Top Talent
Backed by Studio Green, Kanguva is one of the most expensive Tamil films to date. The film features a star-studded cast, including Suriya, Bobby Deol, Disha Patani, Yogi Babu, and Redin Kingsley. With music by Devi Sri Prasad and cinematography by Vetri Palanisamy, the movie promises to be a visual spectacle. Kanguva will be released in two parts, with speculations that the first part may include a special cameo by actor Karthi.
