South Africa’s Team Changes

Bavuma’s absence sees Tony de Zorzi coming in at No. 3, while offspinner Prenelan Subrayen has been sidelined after being reported for a suspect bowling action on debut. To give him time for testing in Brisbane, the Proteas brought in left-arm spinner Senuran Muthusamy as his replacement.

Australia’s Only Change

Australia skipper Mitchell Marsh admitted he too would have batted first on a good Mackay pitch. The visitors made just one change, with Xavier Bartlett replacing Ben Dwarshuis, who was rested.
