Top 10 companies lost crores of cap, Reliance & TCS suffered most losses

During the last week, the Sensex fell by about 4000 points. Due to this, top 10 companies of the index lost Rs 4.95 lakh crore.

Last week, there was a huge decline in the stock market. During the week, the BSE Sensex of 30 stocks fell 4,091.53 points or 4.98 percent. However, this is the biggest weekly decline in the Indian stock market since June 2022. The week started with the policy announcement of the US central bank Federal Reserve. This changed the market sentiment.

The Federal Reserve has indicated a cut in interest rates only twice in 2025, whereas earlier it was said to be four times. The market cap of the top 10 Sensex companies fell by Rs 4,95,061 crore last week.

The stock market was completely dominated by bears. During the week, the Sensex fell by about 4000 points. Due to this, top 10 companies of the index lost Rs 4.95 lakh crore.

There was a huge decline in the stock market last week

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) and Reliance Industries suffered the most due to the dominance of bears in the stock market. Meanwhile the market cap of Tata Group company TCS fell by Rs 1,10,550.66 crore to Rs 15,08,036.97 crore during this period. Similarly, the valuation of Reliance Industries, the company of India and Asia's richest man Mukesh Ambani, fell by Rs 91,140.53 crore and came down to Rs 16,32,004.17 crore.

Who suffered how much loss?

HDFC Bank's market position fell by Rs 76,448.71 crore to Rs 13,54,709.35 crore and Bharti Airtel's loss fell by Rs 59,055.42 crore to Rs 8,98,786.98 crore. SBI's market cap fell by Rs 43,909.13 crore to Rs 7,25,125.38 crore. ICICI Bank's market cap fell by Rs 41,857.33 to Rs 9,07,449.04 crore. Infosys' valuation fell by Rs 32,300.2 crore to Rs 7,98,086.90 crore.

Even though LIC's valuation fell by Rs 20,050.25 crore to Rs 5,69,819.04 crore. The Hindustan Unilever's market cap fell by Rs 12,805.27 crore to Rs 5,48,617.81 crore. This was followed by TCS, HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, Bharti Airtel, Infosys, SBI, ITC, LIC and Hindustan Unilever, respectively.
