UPPSC PCS Prelims 2024: UP PCS preliminary today, more than 5 lakh candidates will appear for exam

UPPSC PCS Prelims 2024: The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) will conduct PCS 2024 preliminary exam today, at various exam centers set up in 75 districts of the state. For the first time the exam will be conducted in the presence of a magistrate. Sector magistrates have been deployed at every center. The exam will be conducted at a total of 1331 centers.

PCS Preliminary Exam will be conducted in two shifts. The exam will be conducted in the first shift from 9.30 am to 11.30 am and in the second shift from 2.30 pm to 4.30 pm. He can download it by visiting the official website of the commission uppsc.up.nic.in and entering the registration number and date of birth.

UPPSC PCS Prelims Exam 2024: It is mandatory to carry it

While the candidate appearing for the exam has to reach the center at least 30 minutes before the start of the exam. All the candidates must carry a photo-bearing official identity card such as Aadhar card, PAN card or voter ID card along with the exam admit card. At the same time, two passport size photographs will also have to be taken.

What is the pattern of preliminary examination?

The UPPSC preliminary examination will have two papers.  Candidates who clear the preliminary examination mains will appear in the main examination. There will be a total of 8 papers in the Mains exam. It includes a total of eight papers including General Hindi, General English and General Studies papers.

Anti-copying law is applicable

Anti-copying law has been implemented in the PCS preliminary examination. If caught cheating, a fine of Rs 1 crore, life imprisonment or both can be imposed. After the implementation of the law, for the first time in UP, a major examination is being organized by the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission.

Carrying any electronic device in the exam hall has been banned. If any candidate is found carrying these things, he/she will be immediately expelled from the examination hall.
