Veteran Actor Manoj Kumar Passes Away, End of an Era in Hindi Cinema
The Indian film industry has lost one of its most respected legends. Actor Manoj Kumar, known for his patriotic movies and popularly called Bharat Kumar, passed away at the age of 87. He was receiving treatment at Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in Mumbai due to heart-related issues.

Manoj Kumar, who gave many superhit films in his career, took his last breath recently. Even though he stopped working in films years ago, his work continues to inspire audiences and filmmakers.
Cause of Death
According to reports, Manoj Kumar died on a Friday morning. He was admitted to the hospital due to heart problems. The hospital revealed that he also had liver-related issues, which contributed to his passing.
Industry in Mourning
Many people from the film industry and his fans are deeply saddened by his death. Film producer Ashok Pandit shared his grief, saying, "Manoj Kumar ji, who was an inspiration and winner of the Dadasaheb Phalke Award, is no longer with us. It’s a huge loss to Indian cinema."
Why Was He Called Bharat Kumar?
Manoj Kumar was born on 24 July 1937 as Harikishan Giri Goswami. He earned the nickname Bharat Kumar because of his powerful roles in patriotic films that celebrated Indian values and love for the country.
