Vinod Kambli to Get Rs 30,000 Monthly Help from Sunil Gavaskar
Former Indian cricketer Vinod Kambli has been facing serious health issues and financial troubles. He was admitted to a hospital in Thane in December 2024 due to a urinary infection and cramps. Kambli, who once played alongside Sachin Tendulkar, is now dealing with both illness and lack of money.

Sunil Gavaskar Steps Up to Help
Seeing his former teammate in such a difficult state, cricket legend Sunil Gavaskar came forward. He had promised to help Kambli during an event at Shivaji Park in Mumbai, held in memory of their coach Ramakant Achrekar.
Gavaskar’s Foundation Offers Monthly Support
Now, Gavaskar’s CHAMPS Foundation has decided to support Kambli by giving him Rs 30,000 every month. The foundation will also take care of Kambli’s medical expenses up to Rs 30,000 per year.
Vinod Kambli 's Personal Life Also in Trouble
Earlier this year, Kambli’s wife Andrea Hewitt revealed that she had filed for divorce in 2023 but changed her decision after seeing her husband’s poor health. In a podcast interview, she said Kambli is like a child and she couldn’t leave him alone.
