Mentorship, Skill Development & Industry Exposure
The KanyaGyaan initiative focuses on providing mentorship, hands-on training, and real-world industry exposure. According to Vivo, the project has already helped 150 young women by breaking financial and societal barriers that often limit their access to STEM careers.
Vivo’s Commitment to Women Empowerment
Geetaj Channana, Head of Corporate Strategy at Vivo India, emphasized the importance of supporting women in STEM. "Empowering women in STEM is not just an initiative; it is essential for progress. Through KanyaGyaan, we are offering education, mentorship, and opportunities to help them shape their future," she said.
Women’s Day Campaign: ‘Carrying Their Own Chairs’
Vivo has also launched a digital campaign in line with this initiative. The campaign film, created by FCB India, uses the metaphor of "carrying their own chairs" to symbolize determination and self-empowerment. It highlights the journeys of young women across India who are pursuing careers in STEM.
Creating a More Inclusive Future
The campaign promotes the idea of a diverse workforce and aims to inspire young women to break barriers in STEM. Ashima Mehra, CEO of FCB India, said, "A world where women thrive in STEM is a world that benefits everyone. This initiative unlocks untapped potential, fuels innovation, and helps solve global challenges."
With 'KanyaGyaan,' Vivo hopes to create a lasting impact by encouraging more young women to explore careers in STEM, ultimately building a more inclusive and innovative future.
