A cyclonic circulation over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and southwest Madhya Pradesh is expected to bring rainfall in multiple states.

The weather department forecasts heavy rain in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karnataka until April 5, while Kerala will continue to receive showers until April 6. Light to moderate rain is also expected in parts of Maharashtra, Odisha, Jharkhand, and West Bengal until April 4.

Summer to Be Hotter Than Usual

IMD Director General Dr. Mrutyunjay Mohapatra stated that April to June will be hotter than usual, with more heatwave days in many states. While ruling out El Nino conditions for the upcoming monsoon, he warned that maximum and minimum temperatures will remain above normal in most regions.
