Wedding Called off in Rajasthan after Groom’s Family Receives Obscene Video

A wedding in Rajasthan was called off after the groom’s family received an inappropriate video of the bride. The wedding was scheduled to take place in Sikar on November 10, but the groom’s father decided to stop the ceremony after receiving a video that showed the bride in a compromising situation. This led the groom’s family to question the bride’s character, and they decided not to go forward with the marriage.

Bride Reveals She Was Blackmailed and Assaulted

When the bride’s grandfather confronted her about the video, she shared a shocking story. She revealed that she had been blackmailed and assaulted by a man named Zeeshan, whom she met while studying in Surat. The bride, originally from Churu, said that Zeeshan had been stalking her after they met and had taken photographs of her without her consent. She explained that Zeeshan threatened to release explicit videos of her when he learned about her upcoming marriage. True to his word, he sent the video to the groom’s family, which caused them to break off the wedding.

Police Take Action

The Churu police have filed a case in connection with the allegations of assault and blackmail. The case was transferred to Surat for further investigation.

Wedding Stopped in Uttar Pradesh Over Groom’s Job

In a separate case in Uttar Pradesh, a wedding in Meerut was stopped midway when the bride learned that the groom did not have a government job, which was an important condition for her. Even though the groom showed payslips indicating a salary of Rs. 1.2 lakh per month, the bride refused to proceed with the marriage after the varmala (garland exchange) ceremony had already taken place.
