Whitefield PG Shock: In the early hours of Tuesday, a 24-year-old private bank analyst was attacked inside her PG accommodation in White Rose Layout, Whitefield. The accused, identified as Sai Babu Chennuru (37) from Andhra Pradesh, allegedly forced his way into her room at 3 am, wielding a knife.

The Shocking Attack

According to the woman’s police statement, Chennuru stabbed her on the left side of her back, undressed her, took explicit photos, and attempted sexual assault. He allegedly threatened to kill her and himself if she resisted. He then extorted Rs.14,000 through UPI and demanded another Rs.70,000 before fleeing.

Woman Hospitalised

The victim was rushed to a private hospital by her friend. From there, she provided her statement to the police. Authorities have registered cases of trespass, molestation, attempted murder, and extortion against Chennuru.

Counter-Complaint Filed

In a twist, Chennuru filed a counter-complaint. He claimed he had been in a two-month relationship with the woman and alleged that PG staff and others assaulted him the previous night around 10.30 pm. He said he was beaten with hands, wires, and iron rods, resulting in injuries to his hands, legs, and face. He too was hospitalised, leading police to register a second FIR.

Investigation Underway

Police confirmed both parties knew each other but are still verifying the facts of both complaints. Chennuru remains in custody as the investigation continues.
