Manju Sharma 's Statement in Resignation Letter
In her resignation letter to Governor Haribhau Bagde, Manju Sharma wrote that she had always worked with honesty and transparency. She clarified that no investigation was pending against her and she had never been accused in any case. However, to maintain the dignity and impartiality of the commission, she decided to step down voluntarily.
Court’s Strong Remarks
On August 28, the Rajasthan High Court stated that RPSC members had compromised the sanctity of the recruitment process. The order mentioned that through their participation or knowledge of leaked papers and irregular interviews, members including Manju Sharma, Babu Lal Katara, Ramuram Raika, Sangeeta Arya, Jaswant Rathi, and Chairman Sanjay Shrotriya contributed to large-scale malpractice.
Concern Over Involvement
The High Court also expressed concern over the alleged involvement of several commission members, including Manju Sharma, in transactions and malpractices for personal gain. According to the chargesheet, these members were aware of irregular activities happening within the RPSC, raising serious questions about the commission’s credibility.
