India’s Rank in Clean Water Index
India ranks 139th in the global list of clean drinking water. Additionally, India stands 10th in water consumption. Due to pollution and overuse, clean water is becoming a serious issue in the country. Many regions still struggle with waterborne diseases like diarrhea, typhoid, and stomach infections caused by contaminated water.
China and Pakistan’s Rank in Water Quality
China ranks 54th in terms of clean drinking water availability.
Pakistan ranks 144th, even lower than India.
