Almora Bus Accident: Passenger bus falls into deep gorge in Almora, Uttarakhand, 7 dead

Almora Bus Accident: A major road accident occurred on the Bhikiyasain-Vinayak road in Almora district of Uttarakhand, where a passenger bus fell into a gorge. According to initial information, 6 people have died and several are injured in the accident. The bus was going towards Ramnagar. Upon receiving information about the accident, police and administration teams reached the spot and started relief and rescue operations.

Upon receiving information about the incident, police, administration and disaster management teams left for the spot. Due to the difficult mountainous terrain, relief and rescue operations are facing difficulties. Currently, efforts are being made to rescue the injured from the gorge and take them to the nearest hospital.

Screams and cries after the accident

After the accident, there were screams and cries. Local people rushed to help. The police were informed. According to eyewitnesses, the accident was quite horrific. When they heard the sound of the bus falling, they immediately rushed to help the people. The injured are being taken to the hospital in Silapani, Bhikiyasain.

Bus had left Dwarahat at 6 AM

According to the police, the bus was going from Bhikiyasain to Ramnagar and had left Dwarahat at around 6 AM. On the way, the bus went out of control and fell into a deep gorge. Official confirmation regarding the number of dead and injured is still awaited.

Rescue operation underway

Upon receiving information about the accident, police, administration and SDRF teams reached the spot. The rescue operation is underway and it is feared that some people may still be trapped inside the bus. District administration officials have also left for the accident site. The accident site is about 100 kilometers from the district headquarters. Disaster officer Vineet Pal said that relief and rescue operations are being expedited and the injured are being provided immediate treatment.
