Amidst election , Dera  chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim will come out of jail today, got 20 days parole

Earlier, an application was given by Ram Rahim to the  Electoral Officer of the state for release on parole. It was told in the application that October 5 is the death anniversary of Dera chief's fathe. Apart from this, some other reasons were also mentioned in the application.

Gurmeet Ram Rahim got parole again

Meanwhile Dera Sacha Sauda chief application was given at a time when elections are going to be held in the state. During the election, permission of the State Chief Electoral Officer is required for the release of any prisoner in jail. This is not the first time that Ram Rahim has got parole just at the time of elections, even before this Ram Rahim was given furlough or parole during the great festival of democracy.

When did Ram Rahim come out of jail?

After being sentenced in 2017, Ram Rahim has come out of jail on parole or furlough 10 times.

On 24 October 2020, he got one-day parole to meet his ailing mother.

Before the Punjab Assembly elections, he came out of jail on 7 February 2022 on a three-week furlough.

On 19 June, there were urban body elections in Haryana.

There were Panchayat elections in Haryana in two phases on October 30 and November 2.

Released on 40-day parole on 21 January 2023.

Rajasthan assembly elections were on 25 November.

There were Lok Sabha elections in the country in the months of April and May.

Released on 21-day furlough on 13 August 2024.

After the official approval of the Divisional Commissioner, Gurmeet Ram Rahim can come out of Rohtak's Sunaria jail.
