Gold and Silver Prices Today: Amidst the stock market rally, gold and silver prices fell again in India today. Silver prices fell by nearly 2,000 rupees in the spot market. Gold prices also fell by nearly 800 rupees. Gold and silver prices fell in major cities, including the national capital, Delhi.

Both gold and silver prices fell today on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX). Gold for April delivery fell by 2,065 rupees, or approximately 1.30%, to open at 1,56,001 rupees per 10 grams. On Monday, its price was 1,58,066 rupees per 10 grams. Silver for March delivery also remained weak, falling by ₹2,623, or nearly 1%, to open trading at ₹2,62,620 per kg.

Impact of profit-booking in the international market

Gold and silver prices also fell sharply in the international market today. After two consecutive days of gains, investors booked profits, causing prices to fall by nearly 2%. Spot gold fell 0.70% to $5,040 per ounce in Asian markets. Silver also saw a significant decline, falling 1.94% to $80.33 per ounce. Gold is now more than 11% below its all-time high, while silver has fallen nearly 50% from its peak.

Latest gold prices in major cities

Gold prices also fluctuated across various cities across the country today. In Delhi, 24-carat gold is selling at ₹156,970 and 22-carat gold at ₹143,889 per 10 grams. In Mumbai, 24-carat gold is selling at ₹157,240 and 22-carat gold at ₹144,137 per 10 grams. In Kolkata, 24-carat gold is selling at ₹157,030 and 22-carat gold at ₹143,944. In Chennai, 24-carat gold is selling at ₹157,700 and 22-carat gold at ₹144,558 per 10 grams. Gold prices in Bengaluru and Hyderabad are also hovering around the same level.
