About the film
Gandhi Talks is a silent social drama that explores the influence of money on human behaviour. The story follows a wealthy businessman whose life begins to unravel due to corruption and personal setbacks.
As his situation worsens, two other men plan to break into his house to steal cash. One of them is unemployed and unable to secure a job because he cannot afford to pay a bribe. The other is a small time pickpocket. Their intersecting paths form the central conflict of the film.
The narrative unfolds without spoken dialogue. Director Belekar relies on expressions, visuals and background music to convey emotions and advance the story.
The film uses currency notes bearing Mahatma Gandhi’s image as a recurring visual motif. It examines themes of desperation, greed and survival, and questions how far individuals are willing to go under pressure.
