Sanjay Dutt and Nora Fatehi Song ‘Sarke Chunar Teri’ Removed from YouTube After Controversy
Hindi version of “Sarke Chunar Teri” removed from YouTube after protests; NHRC issues notice over alleged obscene content.
The Hindi version of “Sarke Chunar Teri” featuring Nora Fatehi and Sanjay Dutt has been removed from YouTube following widespread criticism over its content.
The song, from the film KD – The Devil, had sparked controversy in both film and political circles. The makers took down the Hindi version after protests, while versions in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam remain available online.
The National Human Rights Commission has issued a notice in the matter, citing concerns over alleged obscene and vulgar content.
According to an ANI report, a social activist and advocate filed a complaint with the Delhi Police Cyber Cell, seeking strict action against those associated with the song. The complaint alleged that the lyrics promote sexuality and portray a negative image of society, and called for the song’s removal from all platforms.
The complaint also raised concerns about the potential impact on youth. It sought action against lyricist Rakib Alam, director Prem, composer Arjun Janya, and singer Mangli. A separate complaint was also filed with the Central Board of Film Certification.
The Hindi version of the song was available on YouTube until March 16, 2026. It now shows as “Content Unavailable” on the platform. The makers, along with Sanjay Dutt and Nora Fatehi, have not issued any official response so far. Nora Fatehi has also removed the video from her Instagram account.
The song has faced heavy criticism on social media, with users objecting to the lyrics and choreography. Singer Armaan Malik said the track lowered the standard of songwriting, while former cricketer Harbhajan Singh also criticised it.
