Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri gave this information on Monday. Apart from this, the government has also increased the excise duty on petrol and diesel by Rs 2. He said that the price of domestic gas cylinder has been increased by Rs 50. From 500 it will become 550 (for PMUY beneficiaries) and for other consumers it will Rs 853. He further said that we review it every 2-3 weeks. So, the increase in excise duty that you have seen will not be passed on to the consumers.
