Sensex rose 387 points in early trade today
Tata Consultancy Services, Infosys, HDFC Bank, Power Grid, HCL Tech, Titan and Tata Motors were in profit.
BSE Sensex rose 386.95 points to 80,888.94 in early trade. The National Stock Exchange's Nifty was trading at 24,460.75 points with a gain of 114.05 points. Local stock markets opened with gains on Monday amid continued inflow of foreign funds, sharp fall in crude oil prices and strong trend in US markets. Even the listed companies Stock Market, Adani Ports, Asian Paints, Bajaj Finserv, Tata Consultancy Services, Infosys, HDFC Bank, Power Grid, HCL Tech, Titan and Tata Motors were in profit. Kotak Mahindra Bank's stock fell by about six percent. While Kotak bank consolidated net profit in the March quarter fell by 7.57 percent to Rs 4,933 crore. According to exchange data, foreign institutional investors (FIIs) bought shares worth Rs 2,769.81 crore on Friday.
