Ayodhya is ready for Grand Deepotsav today following its lighting over 24 lakh diyas
The city of Ayodhya in Uttar Pradesh is going to host a grand Deepotsav on Saturday, November 11, the eve of Diwali. On Saturday night, more than 24 lakh diyas at 51 ghats will light up the city.
The Shobha Yatra began on Saturday by Jaiveer Singh, the Minister of Tourism and Culture for Uttar Pradesh.
More than 50 envoys will witness Sanatan culture while taking part in the Deepavali celebrations, according to the state minister of tourism.
Following Yogi Adityanath's appointment as Uttar Pradesh's chief minister in 2017, Ayodhya Deepotsav got underway. Since then, thousands of diyas have been lit annually during the Diwali festival in the land of Lord Ram.
On Saturday at 3 pm, Ayodhya will host the grand Deepotsav program.
The Deepotsav will be presided over by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. Nearly all of the Uttar Pradesh government's ministers will be in Ayodhya. The city planned a laser show following the Deepotsav. Ayodhya will receive Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath at 2:00 pm.
There will be ambassadors and high commissioners from over 50 nations present. Brajesh Pathak and Keshav Maurya, the deputy chief minister, will also take part in the event.
At 6.30 p.m., Adityanath will perform Saryu Aarti, and at 7.30 p.m., Ram Ki Paidi, the set of ghats along the Saryu riverbank, will host the festival of lights. Four nations' representatives, including the Chief Minister, will witness Ramlila. Yogi Adityanath plans to spend the night in Ayodhya.

Avadh University and the Ayodhya district administration have recruited approximately 25000 volunteers to light the diyas simultaneously. A team from the Guinness Book of World Records will count the lamps using a drone camera.
