In a historic moment, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi actively took part in the Pran Pratishtha ceremony of Shri Ramlalla at the newly-built Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Mandir in Ayodhya on Monday. The Prime Minister, who arrived earlier in the day, expressed his emotions on Twitter, calling the event a "divine moment" and expressing gratitude for being part of the unique program.

The ceremony, held at the sanctum sanctorum of the temple, witnessed the presence of RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat, Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel, and state Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.

Extensive Guest List

Over 8,000 guests received invitations to the grand temple ceremony, representing diverse spiritual and religious sects, along with people from various walks of life, including tribal communities.

Prime Minister's Tweet

"The divine moment of Pran Prathishta of Shri Ram Lala in Ayodhya Dham is an emotional moment for everyone. It is my good fortune to be part of this unique programme. Jai Siyaram," PM Modi said in a tweet.

Interaction with Shramjeevis

As part of the program, the Prime Minister will engage with shramjeevis associated with the construction of Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Mandir, recognizing their contributions. Additionally, he will visit the Kuber Tila, where the ancient Mandir of Bhagwan Shiv has been restored.

Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Mandir

The Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Mandir, constructed in traditional Nagara style, boasts impressive dimensions with a length of 380 feet, width of 250 feet, and height of 161 feet. Supported by 392 pillars and featuring 44 doors, the temple showcases intricate sculpted depictions of Hindu deities, gods, and goddesses on its pillars and walls.

Main Sanctum Sanctorum

The ground floor houses the main sanctum sanctorum, where the idol of Shri Ramlalla, depicting the childhood form of Bhagwan Shri Ram, is placed.

Architectural Features

The Mandir complex encompasses five Mandaps (Halls) – Nritya Mandap, Rang Mandap, Sabha Mandap, Prathana Mandap, and Kirtan Mandap. The eastern entrance, approached by 32 stairs through the Singh Dwar, leads to the main Mandir. Notably, the Mandir complex features a historic Well (Sita koop) and the restored ancient Mandir of Bhagwan Shiv at Kuber Tila, accompanied by a statue of Jatayu.

Indigenous Construction Techniques

Built with a 14-meter-thick layer of roller-compacted concrete (RCC) for the foundation, the Mandir showcases traditional and indigenous construction technology. Strikingly, no iron has been used anywhere in the Mandir. Granite forms a 21-foot-high plinth for protection against ground moisture. The Mandir complex also houses essential facilities like a sewage treatment plant, water treatment plant, water supply for fire safety, and an independent power station.

As the Pran Pratishtha ceremony unfolds, the nation witnesses the realization of a long-awaited dream in the form of the magnificent Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Mandir.
