Bank Holidays in May 2025: The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has released the official list of bank holidays for May 2025. According to the 2025–2026 calendar, 13 holidays have been scheduled for various reasons, including national events, state-specific festivals, and observances under the Negotiable Instruments Act and RTGS holidays. These holidays vary depending on the state and city. So, before visiting the bank, check the city-wise list to avoid inconvenience.

City-Wise Bank Holiday List for May 2025

To make things easy, RBI has shared a state-wise and city-wise list of bank closures. This helps individuals and businesses plan their financial work like cheque clearances, demand drafts, and branch visits in advance.

Online Banking Services Will Remain Available

Even if physical bank branches are closed, online banking and ATM services will work as usual. Customers can still:

• Use mobile and net banking
• Withdraw or deposit cash at ATMs
• Submit requests like cheque books, demand drafts, NEFT, and RTGS transfers online
• Access card services and locker applications
