Krishnamurthy stated that the temple is entirely build on the the money received by donation. The administration, Berlin Senate, district authority and the federal government does not have any role to play in the funds. Krishnamurthy did not wanted to build the temple on loan. He did not wanted the next generation to take the burden of temple.
the construction work for the temple was to be started in 2007 but got delayed to 2010 .

His Dream

The temple took over 20 years to build. He first came to Germany in the year 2004 and settled in West Berlin. He found a job with German Electrical company AEG. After some time he founded an association for building the temple. It was his dream to build a temple as a Hindu, The association is on work for the Ganesh Temple ever since .The district authority offered land to the association to build the temple. A large India diaspora resides in Berlin who have migrated for better professional opportunity. The number of Indian diaspora in Berlin alone is around 15000-20000. these people have generously donated for the temple.

Temple

This temple will have significant impact on Berlin because a Hindu temple in a European country shows that the influence of India and Indians are increasing on the world over period. The temple will also naturally bring awareness about Hinduism/Sanatan when people will be exposed to a different culture.
