The team searched documents at his house, his uncle's residence, a medical store, and a gun house. The operation lasted for several hours amidst discussions of luxury cars, a lavish wedding in Dubai, and transactions worth crores of rupees. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has completed its raids on the ancestral home of YouTuber Anurag Dwivedi in Unnao district of Uttar Pradesh, as well as the residence of his uncle, Napendra Nath Dwivedi. The ED also seized four vehicles, including luxury cars belonging to Anurag Dwivedi, which are alleged to have been purchased with the proceeds of crime.

The seized vehicles include a Lamborghini Urus, with an estimated initial value of approximately ₹4.18 crore, a Mercedes-Benz, a Ford Endeavour, and a Thar.

The case reportedly pertains to offenses related to fraud, forgery, and illegal online betting. It involves the operation of an organized online betting and gambling network operating through digital platforms and illicit financial channels. According to the ED, the investigation revealed that an online betting panel was being operated from Siliguri, involving Sonu Kumar Thakur and Vishal Bhardwaj, among other accused. This gang was allegedly conducting illegal online betting and gambling activities in various parts of the country using mule bank accounts, Telegram channels, and other digital platforms. The investigation also revealed the role of social media influencer and YouTuber Anurag Dwivedi.

Promoting Betting

According to the agency, Anurag Dwivedi played an active and significant role in promoting illegal online betting platforms. The ED claims that Dwivedi created and shared videos promoting these platforms and received cash in return through hawala operators, mule accounts, and intermediaries. The investigation also revealed that large sums of money were deposited into the bank accounts of his companies and family members. No legitimate business basis was found.

Properties purchased in Dubai

The agency has also alleged that Anurag used the proceeds of crime earned from promoting and operating illegal betting websites to purchase immovable properties abroad, particularly in Dubai. According to the ED, he subsequently left India and moved to Dubai, where he is currently residing. Despite several summonses being issued, he has not yet appeared before the agency. As part of further action, the ED conducted search operations at nine locations linked to Anurag Dwivedi in Lucknow and Unnao on December 17, 2025.

Incriminating evidence was recovered during the searches, including documents and digital material related to investments made in Dubai. The agency states that this evidence indicates that Anurag invested in real estate in Dubai through hawala channels.
