Board for Temple: After the Tirupati Laddu controversy, the demand to free temples from government control is becoming vocal. Now the Shankaracharya Adhokshajanand Dev Tirtha condemned the incident of adulteration in Prasad and demanded a separate board for the management of temples. In the meanwhile he also said that to prevent such incidents in future, it should be ensured that the administration of temples is not in the hands of governments.

Separate board for temple administration

 Though this was not the first, the demand was raised the Vishwa Hindu Parishad,  earlier raised the same demand. Meanwhile Shankaracharya   Adhokshajanand Dev Tirtha has demanded a separate board for the management of temples. He said that the central government should form a separate board comprising religious leaders and knowledgeable persons and a person from the sect running the temple should be made its executive president.

 On the controversy over Tirupati laddu, Shankaracharya said that this is a direct attack on the religious sentiments of the people. The culprits should not be spared.
