Canadian-Punjabi Singer Shubhneet Singh also better known as Shubh has been the target of anger of Indians before he is scheduled to come to India for an upcoming concert.

The singer is scheduled to perform in India on September 23 and 25 at Mumbai as a part of the Cruise Control 4.0 event, organized aboard the Cordelia Cruise.

The Punjabi singers visit and performance in India was protested by Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) in mumbai by tearing his posters. BJYM members were seen tearing away posters of the singer in several videos that surfaced on internet.

What is the issue?

The singer is in controversy after he shared a distorted map of India which did not include Jammu& Kashmir and Punjab. The singer is termed a Khalistani Supported after he shared that map on Instagram.

After this controversy erupted several celebrities have unfollowed Shubh to stay out of controversy and to show support to Indian integrity. Virat Kohli is one such celebrity who has recently unfollowed Shubh on Instagram.

the consumer electronic brand BoAt has also unfollowed Shubh and has expressed their support towards the integrity of India, Boat took to twitter to announce this.

Shubh was born in Punjab India where he completed his schooling and later moved to Canada to pursue higher studies. Shubh has many internationally hit songs such as  Elevated, Cheques.

Khalistan movement has been gaining momentum in Punjab as well as Canada which has become a center for Anti-India acts and shelter to Khalistani Supporter. Bilateral relations between India and Canada have been bruised over Khalistan Issue.
