Bumper voting in valley, people come out of their homes to vote
Jammu Kashmir Election 2024: The Crowds of voters are gathered for the first phase of voting begins in Jammu and Kashmir, long queue of voters was seen at polling booth here. While voters of 7 districts of Jammu and Kashmir will vote in the assembly elections today after 10 year.
Voting in Jammu Kashmir
Though people of J&K are in great enthusiasm regarding voting. While voting is taking place on 24 assembly seats on. All though after 10 years assembly elections are being held in Jammu and Kashmir. Valley people are reaching the polling stations in large numbers to vote. More than 11 percent voting has taken place in the first two hours.

National Conference, BJP, PDP in the electoral fray
However Elections are going on for eight seats in Jammu and 16 seats in Kashmir. A good picture was seen from Doda here people were seen waiting for their turn to cast their vote amid heavy security arrangements. Though Congress-National Conference and BJP, PDP are in the electoral fray in the alliance.
Voters will decide the fate of candidates
In the first phase, more than 23.27 lakh voters will decide the fate of 24,219 candidates. Voting is being held today for 24 assembly seats in seven districts amid heavy security arrangements. These include Anantnag, Pulwama, Shopian and Kulgam in Kashmir and Doda, Ramban and Kishtwar in Jammu division. Voting is going on in full swing in Jammu and Kashmir elections.

Long queues at the polling station
Voting for the first phase of Jammu and Kashmir assembly elections has started. This is the first assembly election in Jammu and Kashmir after the abrogation of Article 370 in August 2019.
