Cyclone Biparjoy brought along
intense winds, heavy rainfall, and widespread destruction. As always, in times
of crisis, the people of Gujarat united and showcased their incredible strength
and resilience. But they were not alone in this battle!

The Central Government,
under the visionary leadership of our honorable Prime Minister, along with the
Gujarat Government, worked hand in hand to ensure the safety and well-being of
every citizen affected by the cyclone. Their swift and coordinated efforts played
a significant role in helping Gujarat navigate through the storm.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi was continually concerned
about Gujarat and was closely involved in the cyclone rescue operation. The
central government committed and gave all the help that was needed. Through
video conferences, Union Home Minister Amit Shah also kept an eye on how
Gujarat was getting prepared to face the storm.

Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel also worked uninterrupted and held frequent meetings at the state emergency operations center in Gandhinagar to assess rescue operations and took appropriate and immediate actions based on the prevailing situation.

The state government
evacuated more than 1 lakh residents, who also cooperated very well with
the rescue team. The state administration sent ministers to the scene to
monitor the rescue efforts. In addition to state ministers, four federal
ministers also participated in the cyclone relief operation. The state’s
chief minister also held meetings to assess the cyclone’s performance and
issued guidelines as required.

Children of a Kutch village seek refuge at a Border Security Force outpost in the village of Gunau in advance of the Kutch landfall. There are approximately 8,900 children, 1,131 pregnant women, and 4,697 seniors among the refugees.

Not only the villagers but also their livestock, were rescued from the hazardous area and relocated to shelters. In eight districts of Gujarat, a total of 1,521 shelters have been constructed.

Today, Gujarat stands tall once again, thanks to the combined efforts of the Central Government and the Gujarat Government. A  big thanks to CM Bhupendra Patel! Their dynamic teamwork and commitment to the well-being of the people have not only helped them survive this cyclone but also served as an inspiration for the entire nation.
