Discovered a crater on the moon's surface
On Monday, the Pragyan rover had discovered a crater on the moon's surface that was four metres in diameter. It was then instructed to return the direction it had arrived.
ISRO had announced on X that "the rover was ordered to retrace the path." This happened the day after the Indian space agency made public the first finding from the "Vikram lander's" '(ChaSTE) instrument. 'Chaste' Stands for "Chandra's Surface Thermophysical Experiment."
To comprehend the thermal behaviour of the Moon's surface, the ChaSTE monitors the temperature profile of the lunar topsoil. It has a temperature probe with a controlled penetration mechanism that can pierce the surface to a depth of 10 cm. There are ten separate temperature sensors on the probe.
Shiv Shakti Point
On August 26, ISRO reported that the Pragyan rover was exploring the area surrounding "Shiv Shakti Point" at the South Pole in search of lunar mysteries. The name "Shiv Shakti" would be used for the landing site of Chandrayaan 3's "Vikram" lander, according to Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
