Sharad Pawar, president
of the Nationalist Congress Party, will start his state tour on Saturday with a
gathering in Yeola, Nasik district, the home district of rebel party leader and
Minister Chhagan Bhujbal.

MLA Jitendra Awhad said
he would meet people and put everything back together. If people support this
warrior, you’ll all see how warmly he is welcomed. The rally is happening in
the middle of a power struggle with his nephew Ajit Pawar, who became the
Deputy CM in the government-run by Shiva Shena and the BJP.

Praful Patel, with
Maharashtra’s Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar by his side, denied that there
had been a split in the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP). He said that more
than 40 MLAs back them, which is why they have asked the election commission
for the name and symbol of the NCP. On June 30, the NCP held a meeting at
Devgiri.

Many MLAs and MLCs were there. Ajit Pawar was named as the leader at
that meeting. He then chose Praful Patel to be the president of the national
working group. There is no break here. Ajit Pawar has the support of most
lawmakers and groups, he said.
