Complete ban on firecrackers in Delhi before Diwali, government issued the order

Though firecrackers have been completely banned in the national capital The Delhi government has issued a notification regarding the ban on firecrackers. According to the notification, the manufacture, storage, sale and bursting of firecrackers in Delhi has been banned from 14 to 1 January.
Complete ban imposed till January 1
In the meanwhile the Capital’s air starts getting polluted from October. There are two reasons for this. First the weather starts changing from October. Second in this season, farmers in the states around Delhi also start burning stubble. This further increases pollution. Bursting crackers on Diwali makes the situation worse.

Firecrackers banned in the national capita
Bursting crackers on the occasion of Diwali makes the situation worse. Markets like Sadar Bazar, Chandni Chowk, Kotla, Rohini, Laxmi Nagar in Delhi are mainly centers of firecracker business. However, the ban on firecrackers has also had a bad effect on the employment of people.

Government issued this order
The Delhi government has ordered a ban on the use of firecrackers using the powers given under Section 31 (A) of the Air Pollution Prevention and Control Act 1981 even though Delhi Pollution Control Committee has completely banned the use of firecrackers in the National Capital Region. This ban implemented by the Delhi government will remain in effect till January 1, 2025. During this period, there will be a complete ban on the manufacturing, storage, sale, online trade and bursting of all types of firecrackers.
People should cooperate in making the ban effective'
In the meanwhile AAP Environment and Forest Minister Gopal Rai, wrote on X Post on Monday. In keeping view on increasing pollution in winter, the ban on the production, storage, sale and use of firecrackers will remain in force from today till January. Departmental orders have also been issued regarding the ban on firecrackers. Gopal Rai has appealed to the people of Delhi for cooperation on this issue.
