The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra had sent invitations to various politicians from all over the country. Congress leaders of Opposition in the Rajya Sabha Mallikarjun Kharge, Congress Parliamentary Party Chairperson SMT. Sonia Gandhi, and the Leader of the Congress Party in Lok Sabha Adhir Ranjan Chaudhari were invited by the trust from the party.
Say no to the Ceremony of Ram Lalla
Indian National Congress released an official press release in which it stated that all three leaders of Congress are declining the invitation. Citing politics over Ram Mandir as the main reason for the decline of the invitation, the Congress said that the BJP has used the issue of Ram Mandir for political gain.

The Ram Mandir stands as a symbol of faith and the triumph of that faith for Sanatan Dharm followers all over the country. It symbolizes a struggle spanning more than 500 years and serves as the identity for all Sanatanis.
Followers of Ram have been waiting for decades for this day. Some have even sacrificed their lives in the fight for Lord Ram and the construction of the Ram Mandir. It is a matter of great significance for Ram Bhakts, representing an issue deeply connected with emotions and faith. Every Ram Bhakt wishes to visit the temple and witness this historic day, but not everyone is fortunate enough. The Ram Mandir Trust could send only a limited number of invitations, as they cannot accommodate everyone. This is why the rejection of the invitation by Congress leaders comes as a shock, given that it is an invitation that Ram Bhakts across the country could only dream of.
Even though Congress has stated that they respect the religion and adhere to the order of the Supreme Court, the question that arises here is about the faith of these Congress leaders who claim to be followers of Sanatan Dharm. This move by Congress is perceived as playing it safe by not offending followers of other religions, who constitute a significant portion of the voting population.
