Member of parliament from the Indian National Congress Ravneet Bittu who is elected from Ludhiana has made strong allegations on the government of Canada and the Prime Minister Justin Trudeau who previously shaded Indian government for having a role to play in the killing of Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar Nijjar, who Justin claims to be a Canadian citizen.

Ravneet Singh Bittu has made serious allegations against the party of Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. Bittu, who is the grandson of the late Punjab Chief Minister Beant Singh, assassinated by Khalistani militants in 1995, claimed that the Canadian Prime Minister's party has been receiving financial support from individuals with ties to terrorism, including Hardeep Singh Nijjar.

Bittu emphasized that Hardeep Singh Nijjar, described as a Khalistani terrorist, played a significant role in the assassination of his grandfather. He pointed out that Nijjar had relocated to Canada in 1993 and obtained Canadian citizenship. Furthermore, Bittu asserted that Nijjar and his associates were among the top ten most-wanted criminals and drug traffickers.

These allegations come in the wake of Hardeep Singh Nijjar's killing in Surrey in June, which escalated tensions between India and Canada. Bittu criticized the Canadian government's handling of the threats posed by such criminal elements, stating that they lacked sincerity in addressing the issue.

Bittu also drew parallels between Canada's approach and the past actions of Pakistan, suggesting that Canada was assuming a similar role in harboring extremists. He claimed that these criminals in Canada were involved in the drug trade, adversely affecting the youth in Punjab. Additionally, he alleged that Nijjar and his associates had taken control of Sikh gurdwaras in Canada, diverting the offerings made there to support Trudeau's party.

Bittu also mocked Justin Trudeau for behaving illogically just because he had to reside in India for 36 hours after G20 summit because his plane malfunctioned. He said, he should not have been angry, Justin Could have simple asked for a plane from Indian government, India could have provided him the plane.

In a related development, Congress MP Ravneet Singh Bittu has written a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, expressing concerns about the safety and security of Indian students studying in Canada amidst the ongoing diplomatic tensions between the two nations. Bittu has called for Prime Minister Modi's intervention to ensure the well-being of these students.

Opposition parties are supporting the Indian government's foreign policy in the case of India- Canada  bilateral relations. Indian opposition may not be on the same page with government on many issues, but they have been supporting the Indian government's policy in dealing with Khalistan and Terrorism.
