Army's Cheetah Helicopter Crashes In Arunachal 2 pilots missing
An Indian Army chopper today crashed near Mandala in Arunachal Pradesh. Two crewmen a Lieutenant Colonel and a Major are reportedly missing. According to the Army, the aircraft lost contact with the Air Traffic Controller at 9:15 am.
A press release said that “Army Aviation Cheetah helicopter flying an operational sortie near Bomdila, Arunachal Pradesh was reported to have lost contact with the ATC at around 09:15 AM on 16 March 23.”
it is said that the helicopter crashed at Bomdila, close to Mandala. A search operation was launched to find the missing pilots, according to Lt Col Mahendra Rawat, PRO Defence Guwahati. Two pilots have been reported lost and are still missing, search operation has begun for the pilots. More information on this is awaited.
