Army withdraws from Depsang-Demchok, patrolling will resume… Consensus reached between India and China
In the meanwhile consensus has been reached between India and China regarding patrolling on the LAC. However the Ministry of External Affairs issued a statement regarding this on Monday.

Troops withdraws from the LOC
All though India and China have reached a new agreement to withdraw their troops on the Line of Actual Control and resume patrolling. Reportedly this agreement is related to patrolling in Depsang and Demchok areas. According to the information, patrolling has started at both these points of conflict
Depsang and Demchok and soon both the countries will start withdrawing their troops, which is called disengagement in military terms. Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri gave information about this on Monday.
Resume patrolling in Depsang and Demchok areas
The foreign secretary Vikram Misri, said that the tension that arose in eastern Ladakh in 2020 is gradually being resolved due to the agreement reached between the two countries on the arrangement of patrolling. This important development has come just before Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to Russia for the 16th BRICS summit to be held on October 22-23.

Foreign secretary Vikram Misri statement
While after recent talks between officials of the two countries, India and China have reached an agreement for patrolling on the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in eastern Ladakh. Misri said that after the agreement reached on patrolling, the tension on the LAC between the two countries is expected to reduce.
The Foreign Secretary said that Indian and Chinese negotiators have been in touch for the last few weeks to resolve the remaining issues on the Line of Actual Control. Let us tell you that on June 15–16 in the year 2020, there was a clash between Indian and Chinese soldiers in the Galwan Valley in eastern Ladakh. 20 Indian soldiers were killed in this and about twice the number of Chinese soldiers was also killed.
