In a significant statement on Monday, a senior officer from the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) emphasized that terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir is no longer perceived as fashionable but has become a "dirty word."

Addressing reporters in Shopian, CRPF Additional Director General (ADG) Nalin Prabhat underlined the changing dynamics surrounding terrorism in the region. "The basic thing we have to understand is that in today's environment, terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir is no longer fashionable; it is a dirty word. That's why they (terrorists) will be finished," stated Prabhat.

Highlighting the consequences of choosing the path of terrorism, Prabhat suggested that individuals who join terrorist organizations essentially sign their own death warrants. "Anyone who becomes a terrorist or joins a terrorist organization signs his death warrant. They (terrorists) will end because the almighty is with us, with the people, and with the nation," he added.

Disregarding the numerical strength of terrorist activities, Prabhat expressed confidence that irrespective of their numbers, they would all meet a similar fate. "How does it matter how many they are? Whether they are two, 20, or 50, they will all be wasted. A terrorist cannot be an icon. The kids who go on to become sportspersons, doctors, and engineers are the real icons," he further emphasized.

The official's comments shed light on the evolving perception of terrorism in the region and the CRPF's determination to combat this menace, aligning with the changing dynamics in Jammu and Kashmir.
