“She has suffered seven to eight per cent facial burns and her eyes have also been affected,” said the doctors.
The main reason behind the attack was the friendship of victim with Sachin, as the girl stopped talking 2 months back, as she was not interested t talk any more, hence as a revenge Sachin took this step. The police found wile interrogation that the accused bought Acid from Flipkart . The third accused, Virendra Singh, took the scooter and mobile phone of Arora with him to another location so as to mislead the investigation, police said.
Delhi LG V K Saxena spoke to police commissioner Sanjay Arora on the matter and sought a detailed report, including information on how the acid was procured despite a ban on its sale. In 2013, the Supreme Court banned over-the-counter sale of acid at retail outlets and ordered a compensation of Rs 3 lakh to be paid by state governments to each acid attack victim.
