In a significant development, the Indian Army has augmented its bridging capability with the induction of a 46-meter Modular Bridge. This advanced bridging system, designed and developed by the Defence Research and Development Organization (#DRDO) and manufactured by Larsen & Toubro (#L&T), was officially inducted in a ceremony held at the Manekshaw Centre in New Delhi.

The ceremony was graced by the presence of General Manoj Pande, Chief of Army Staff, along with officials from the Indian Army, DRDO, and the Ministry of Defence. The induction of these cutting-edge modular bridges not only strengthens the operational effectiveness of the Indian Army but also exemplifies India's commitment to the principles of #AatmanirbharBharat (Self-Reliant India) and indigenous defence production.

The 46-meter Modular Bridge is a testament to the collaborative efforts of DRDO and L&T, showcasing the prowess of Indian engineering and manufacturing capabilities. This technological advancement is poised to play a crucial role in enhancing the mobility and strategic capabilities of the Indian Army during various operational scenarios.

General Manoj Pande, in his capacity as COAS, also presided over the Biennial Conference of the Corps of Engineers. The conference was attended by the Engineer-in-Chief and senior leadership of the Corps, focusing on a comprehensive review of training, operational readiness, and human resource management. Emphasis was placed on incorporating technological advancements in the Corps of Engineers to align with the evolving operational environment.

The induction of the 46-meter Modular Bridge and the discussions at the Biennial Conference collectively underscore the Indian Army's commitment to staying at the forefront of military capabilities while promoting self-reliance and indigenous innovation in defence production.
