Indian Navy successfully test fired Brahmos missile
Indian Navy on November 1,Wednesday successfully tested Brahmos Missile supersonic cruise Missile in the Bay of Bengal. The Eastern Command of Indian Navy undertook the task in Bay of Bengal. The Indian Navy reached all the parameters of BrahMos during the test-firing.
This test-firing was part of ongoing efforts to ensure readiness for blue-water operations and to counter potential threats from the Chinese Navy. The Indian Navy had previously conducted test-firings of extended-range BrahMos missiles, showcasing their versatility and effectiveness.
The test-firing took place from the R-class destroyer ship, along with its indigenously developed potent weapon systems, emphasizing India's commitment to self-reliance (AatmaNirbharta). This accomplishment underscores the Indian Navy's formidable naval capabilities, capable of addressing challenges from adversaries, with particular attention to the Chinese PLA NAVY.
Destructive Beast
Brahmos is a supersonic missile which can be fired from submarines, ships, aircrafts and land platforms, meaning that all three defence forces can efficiently use them. BrahMos Aerospace Pvt Ltd, which is an Indian-Russia Joint Venture undertakes the task of manufacturing the destructive missiles.
When compared to the speed of sound, BRAHMOS missiles stands 3 times faster. The missile flies at a speed of 2.8 Mach, a stupendous example of Human invention.
