Pakistan Rangers open fired across border injuring 2 BSF Jawans
On October 26, Thursday, Pakistan Rangers resorted to cross border firing across the India Pakistan International Border in Jammu getting a befitting reply from BSF.
Chronology
At around 8 PM, the Pakistani troops resorted to unprovoked firings engaging small arms and shelling at several different places along the border in Arnia and RS Pura sector in Jammu and Kashmir.
To the firing by Pakistan rangers, BSF immediately retaliated in a befitting manner. After that, Pakistan Rangers extended their firing to nearby BOPs to which the Forward Defense Forces retaliated.
As their next move, at around 9pm in the evening, Pakistan Rangers resorted to mortar shelling which tJamnuuJammu and Kargeted border posts as well as civilian areas. Shelling in civilian area resulted in injuring one woman named Smt Rajni Devi w/o Balbir Singh, Arnia, Jammu.
Then After around 10:30 pm, Pakistan rangers started using heavy Machine Gun fire targeting posts from their country which was again retaliated by the Indian forces.
On October 27, Friday, 0100 am, Pakistan Rangers again started firing and targeted our BOPs leading to exchange of fire and inadequately retaliation by the Indian Forces. The firing continued for fire than an hour,
The BSF made it clear that the exchange of firings led to the injuring 2 BSF personals. One of them, CT Basava Raj sustained minor splinter injuries due to shelling in both hands and was later taken to hospital and is stable now.
BSF said that it is vigilant and will monitor the developments closely. BSF remains vigilant and continues to monitor the developments closely while assessing the situation and remains alert to respond as necessary to ensure the safety and security of the border and its residents," said BSF in a twitter post.
