Delhi Police carried out full dress rehearsal
Delhi Police has started with the rehearsals for the upcoming big event. Delhi Police started the full dress rehearsal in Delhi which included escorting carcades from different parts of Delhi to the New Delhi Area/district where the summit is scheduled to take place.
The rehearsals are scheduled to take place in 3 time slots- 0830hrs-1200hrs, 1630-1800hrs and 1900-2300hrs today.
A carcade consists of around 10 cars which provides security to the dignitary, The heads and officials of states in this case to safely reach to their destination.
The movement of carcade requires the traffic police to block the roads and restrict movements of general public on that road prior and during the carcade is moving.
Blocking roads and turning traffic to different routes can cause discomfort to the public of Delhi, and the Delhi police has already made all the necessary information related to traffic on its official website for G20.
What is Controlled zone 1?
This zone refers to the area under New Delhi District which will be out of reach of general public apart from bonafide residents, authorized vehicles, and emergency vehicle. These restrictions will be in practice from 0500hours of 8 September to 2359 hours of 10 September.
What is regulated zone?
the entire area inside Ring Road also called Mahatma Gandhi Marg will be restricted for general public expect for the mentioned above and those travelling to airport. Restrictions will be in place from 0500 hours of 8 Sept to 2359hours of 10 Sept.

Delhiites are suggested to take extra time in hand when travelling to one point from other as traffic restrictions and routes change will be in place.
Commuters are suggested to use metro during these days. Police has requested commuters to cooperate.
The capital city is in excitement to welcome guests from all over the world for the G20 summit. Delhi will be hosting the guests for which the city has made all necessary arrangement. The city is well lit up with flags and Tiranga lightings.
