When the people present on platform number 13 saw trains on platforms 14 and 15, they moved towards these platforms. Another eyewitness said, "The crowd was too much, people were gathered on the (footover) bridge. Such a huge crowd was not expected. I have never seen such a crowd at the railway station before, not even during festivals. Administration people and NDRF personnel were also present there, but when the crowd became too much, it was not possible to control them.
