According to World Health Organisation, a viral ailment called dengue (break-bone fever) is transmitted from mosquitoes to humans. It happens more often in tropical and subtropical areas.
The majority of dengue patients experience no symptoms. However, for those who do, high temperature, headache, body aches, nausea, and rash are the most typical symptoms.
The majority of people recover in 1 to 2 weeks. Patients with dengue can develop serious illnesses and need hospital care.
Dengue fever can be lethal in extreme circumstances.
By avoiding mosquito bites, especially during the day, you can reduce your risk of contracting dengue.
Since there is currently no specific treatment for dengue, it is managed with pain medications.
How to cure?
The majority of dengue fever cases can be managed with painkillers at home. The easiest approach to avoid having dengue is to avoid mosquito bites.
Dengue does not have a specific treatment. Treatment of pain symptoms is the main priority.
To manage pain, acetaminophen (paracetamol) is frequently used. Two non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs that should be avoided because they increase the risk of bleeding are ibuprofen and aspirin.
For those who have experienced dengue at least once and reside in areas where the illness is widespread, there is a vaccine called Dengvaxia.
Patients with severe dengue frequently need to be hospitalized.
The dengue-transmitting mosquitoes are active during the day.
Avoid getting bitten by mosquitoes to reduce your risk of developing dengue by using:
1)Covering as much of your body as possible with clothing
2)Ideally, mosquito nets should be sprayed with insect repellent before being used as a mosquito net if sleeping during the day. Other options include mosquito coils, vaporizers, and window screens.
If you contract dengue, it's critical to:
1)Rest
2) Drink a lot of water
3) Use paracetamol (acetaminophen) for pain
4)AVOID using aspirin and ibuprofen as non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medications.
5)Keep an eye out for serious symptoms and get in touch with your doctor right once if you do.
6)One vaccine (Dengvaxia) has so far received approval and licensing in several nations. However, only those who have a history of dengue infection can receive protection.
