Sanjay Gadhvi, the director renowned for the 'Dhoom' franchise, passed away on Sunday morning at his residence, as confirmed by his elder daughter, Sanjina. At the age of 56, Gadhvi, who was just three days away from his 57th birthday, left behind a legacy with his blockbuster hits 'Dhoom' (2004) and 'Dhoom 2' (2006) under the Yash Raj Films banner.

Surprisingly, Gadhvi, described by his daughter as "perfectly healthy," departed, leaving the industry and fans in shock.

"He passed away at 9.30 am this morning at his residence. We are not sure what it is, but it is most likely a heart attack. He wasn't unwell, he was perfectly healthy," Sanjina told PTI.

Sanjay Gadhvi commenced his directorial journey in 2000 with 'Tere Liye' and continued to make an impact with projects like 'Mere Yaar Ki Shaadi Hai' in 2002, marking his initial collaboration with Yash Raj Films.

His contributions to the film industry extended beyond the screen, leaving behind a notable legacy. Survived by his wife and another daughter, Gadhvi's influence resonates through his cinematic achievements.
