DRDO is hiring for 37 apprentice positions: Check the requirements, how to apply, and how to be selected here

For PXE Chandipur, Balasore, the Defence Research and Development Organization (DRDO) is accepting applications for 37 apprentice positions.

Under the Ministry of Defence, the one-year apprenticeship program involves dynamic testing and evaluation of armament systems.

Candidates who meet the requirements can apply online at drdo.gov.in, the DRDO's official website.

Details of the Position

 (A): Graduate Electronics & BE/B.Tech:

With a monthly stipend of Rs. 9000, DRDO is seeking to hire two apprentice candidates for the Mechanical and Electronics & Communication branches.

Prerequisites:

BE/B.Tech in Electronics & Communication Engineering and BE/B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering for the Mechanical branch are the prerequisites for admission to the Electronics and Communication program.

(B) Technician Apprentice Diploma: The R&D Company is seeking to hire 8 apprentice candidates from the Mechanical, Electrical, and Computer Science departments, 9 from the Civil and Electrical departments, and 10 from the Electronics and Computers department. They will also receive a monthly stipend of ₹8000.

Qualification

A diploma in civil engineering or electrical engineering, respectively, is required for both the civil and electrical branches.

A diploma in computer science is required for the computer science branch, a diploma in electronics and communication engineering for the electronics and communication branch, and a diploma in mechanical engineering for the mechanical branch.

Only those applicants who successfully completed their corresponding courses in 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, and 2023 are permitted to apply for the open positions.

Application Process

1.Go to the official DRDO website.

2. Click on the title "Engagement of Apprentices in PXE, Chandipur" after going to the career section.

3. Complete the application. (Note that incomplete or handwritten application forms will be returned.)

4. Include your signature, a recent photo of yourself, the essential qualification mark sheets, and any reservation certificates you may have.

5. After filling out the form, scan it and save it as a PDF.

6. Send an email with the PDF file attached to training.pxe@gov.in.

Selection Process

Based on the percentage of marks attained in the required qualifications, the DRDO selection board will review the applications and shortlist the candidates. Candidates who make the shortlist will be invited to PXE, Chandipur for an interview or written exam.
