During Lionel Messi's League Cup match versus FC Dallas, fans threw blows, and the video went viral

On Sunday night, a few fans got into a scuffle during Lionel Messi's Inter Miami match versus FC Dallas at Toyota Stadium in Texas. In a now-viral video, four supporters, including a woman and a man wearing an Argentina jersey, are seen fighting.

According to a Daily Mail article, police have made an arrest in connection with the event. The fans can be seen punching each other in the video. It is still unclear why the fight took place.

Several media reports stated that the temperature had risen above 38 degrees Celsius before of Inter Miami's encounter in Dallas. Some social media users even suggested that the supporters' angry emotions were caused by the harsh weather conditions. The extreme heat led both Inter Miami and FC Dallas to take a heat break near the midway mark of both halves.

On the 14th consecutive day of excessive heat in Dallas, Messi's fourth Inter Miami game began with a kickoff temperature of 38 degrees Celsius. Returning to the field, Lionel Messi scored the first goal of the Leagues Cup round of 16 games against FC Dallas after just six minutes. This was also his first goal away from Florida since joining Inter Miami earlier this summer. Late in the game, the seven-time Ballon d'Or winner struck another amazing free kick to equalize. Inter Miami finally won the game 5-3 on penalties to go to the quarter-finals. Messi's two-goal performance against FC Dallas was the third in a row in his Inter Miami jersey.

Lionel Messi has scored seven goals in four games for Inter Miami. The World Cup-winning Argentine captain has scored in each of the MLS team's four games.
