Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman Touts BJP's Welfare Schemes and Economic Growth
Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, during a public address, highlighted the strengthening faith of farmers and youths in Prime Minister Narendra Modi, attributing it to the welfare schemes and pro-people policies implemented by the BJP government.
She also underscored the government's efforts in driving economic growth, projecting India's ascent to becoming one of the world's top three economies by 2027. Sitharaman's remarks were made during a public meeting in Dhnewa Dhanei village, Maharajganj district.
Faith in Prime Minister Modi
Sitharaman emphasized the increased confidence of farmers and youths in Prime Minister Modi, citing the government's welfare initiatives and people-centric policies as key factors. She pointed out that the BJP government's commitment to economic growth has bolstered this trust among the populace.
Economic Growth Momentum
Highlighting the government's economic agenda, Sitharaman expressed optimism about India's economic trajectory, asserting that by 2027, the country would rank among the top three global economies. She credited the Modi government's policies for propelling this growth momentum.
Disintegration of Opposition Bloc
Sitharaman asserted that the opposition bloc in India has disintegrated, implying that leaders like Rahul Gandhi and Akhilesh Yadav have lost relevance. She dismissed their criticism, stating that merely taking photo opportunities doesn't yield results. Sitharaman reiterated Prime Minister Modi's commitment to farmers, citing significant initiatives undertaken by the government over the past decade.
Motivating Party Workers
In addition to addressing public concerns, Sitharaman held a meeting with party workers to rally support for the BJP ahead of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. She urged them to ensure the party's victory and actively engage with constituents to promote the BJP's agenda and achievements.
Credit Outreach Program
During her visit, Sitharaman disbursed loans totaling Rs. 1,143.05 crore to 40,011 beneficiaries under the credit outreach program, demonstrating the government's commitment to financial inclusion and support for local businesses and entrepreneurs.
Government Schemes and Infrastructure Initiatives
Sitharaman inspected various government scheme stalls and inaugurated a new branch of the State Bank of India at Maharajganj crossing. Additionally, she flagged off a mobile medical van, underscoring the government's efforts to enhance healthcare accessibility in rural areas.
